Position Summary

At KAT & Company, we believe creative work should do more than capture attention. It should connect, empower, and drive real change.

We are looking for a Creative Director who will lead our creative vision with both heart and precision. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is just as comfortable developing big ideas as they are refining the smallest details. You will be the driving force behind our creative concepts, a key voice in our review process, and a mentor to our creative team.

We’re looking for a very specific hire: someone who leads comfortably, possesses abundant creativity, prizes collaboration, embraces flexibility over certainty, and is driven to create work that makes a meaningful, positive impact.

Key Partnerships

The Creative Director will work alongside the following roles and teams:

  • Creative Team to lead, mentor, and grow team members while fostering a culture of high-quality, impactful work
  • Marketing Director to align creative output with campaign strategy, messaging, and audience needs
  • Project Management Team to prioritize work, manage workflows, and balance team capacity effectively
  • Business Development Team to contribute creative strategy and insights for proposals and new business opportunities
  • Chief Operating Officer to build, refine, and scale creative processes that improve collaboration, efficiency, and overall output
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary creative voice, ensuring all work reflects KAT & Company’s values of empathy, intentionality, and human-centered storytelling
  • Develop/guide the development of original, effective creative concepts that drive meaningful engagement and measurable impact
  • Ensure continuity of creative concepts across multi-deliverable and multi-year campaigns
  • Serve as the final creative reviewer on key deliverables, providing clear, thoughtful feedback and making final decisions 
  • Clearly communicate the thinking behind creative decisions to internal teams and clients
  • Identify, vet, and manage freelancers and contract creative partners
  • Continuously improve workflows, collaboration, and overall creative output
Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Creative Director or senior creative leadership role
  • Proven ability to develop strong, original creative concepts and bring them to life
  • Experience across video, design, digital and social media
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring creative teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Ability to actively contribute to creative work, such as writing, designing, editing, or directing
  • Strong portfolio showcasing concept-driven creative across multiple formats
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience prioritizing multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in video production, including scriptwriting, producing, directing, or videography
  • Experience working in agency environments or mission-driven organizations
  • Strong storytelling skills across video, digital, print, and social platforms
  • Experience collaborating closely with marketing teams to align creative and strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Creative Arts, or a related field
